Janji Corps Member, Pardon Ndhlovu, Qualifies for Olympics: The Full Interview

Janji interviewed Pardon Ndholvu in December 2014 when he stated his goal to qualify for the 2016 Olympic Trials. One and a half years later, he is going to the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio. The four time All-American runner in track and cross country at UNC Pembroke qualified for the Olympic marathon with a time of 2:16.51 in the 2015 Houston Marathon.

Pardon, who as a child would wake up at 2am to fetch water, has experienced firsthand the issues caused by the lack of clean water, central to Janji’s mission. As a Janji Corps Elite member, he epitomizes Janji’s efforts to create a better world for all. And now, as an Olympian, he will represent his home country of Zimbabwe as he races among the world’s best marathon runners on August 21st.
